The Bradman Foundation has been deeply saddened by the death of local resident and long-time Museum supporter Paul Ramsay AO.

Paul Ramsay has been an integral member of the Bradman Foundation family from its inception twenty-five years ago right up to the present day. He attended the opening of the Museum with Sir Donald Bradman in 1989 and continued to be present at various functions over the years most notably regularly being a guest at the annual Bradman Gala dinner held at the SCG.

Mr. Ramsay was a native of the Southern Highlands. Growing up in Burradoo he continued a life-long love of the Highlands, especially the Museum as an original donor. Throughout his long association with the Museum he helped to maintain the Foundations’ original mission to live up to Sir Donald’s vision to inspire future generations of young people to serve their nation with courage, honour and humility. For all those he came into contact with, Paul Ramsay provided a source of inspiration when demonstrating a commitment to the Bradman Foundation and Bradman’s vision.

In 1964 Mr. Ramsay founded his first business with a single psychiatric hospital in Sydney. Today the company has more than 150 hospitals across five countries, employs more than 30, 000 people and admits over 1.4 million patients each year.

He will be sadly missed by the Bradman Foundation as we remember his passion for the highlands and the Museum and thank him for twenty-five years of constant support.
