The Sydney Thunder have roared their support of the KFC T20 Big Bash League moving to Network Ten.

After months of negotiation it was today confirmed that Channel Ten and secondary channel ONE HD, will broadcast every match of the Big Bash this season, meaning that the KFC T20 Big Bash League will be broadcast on free-to-air television for the first time, with all matches available to every cricket fan in the land.

The outcome is a tremendous result for cricket supporters with the deal operating for the next five years and guaranteeing the competition free-to-air coverage of all matches.

The Thunder are delighted with the result, with the team looking forward to the full support of the people of Western Sydney, both at matches, and through those watching on Channel Ten and ONE HD.

New Thunder Head Coach Chandika Hathurusinghe expressed how important the deal was for cricket supporters throughout New South Wales: โ€œIt is great that cricket fans throughout the State will get a chance to watch free-to-air cricket for the next five years on Channel Ten and ONE HD. The benefits to the Thunder are many and it will allow us to reach a new audience and showcase what we stand for as a team.It is tremendous news from both a cricketing and commercial sense and the Thunder look forward to working with both Cricket Australia and Network Ten leading into this season.โ€
