The Sydney Thunder announced their arrival with a bang at the launch of the KFC T20 Big Bash League, arriving at the venue in Inner Sydney on the back of Harley Davidsons.

Members of the squad including skipper David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Daniel Smith, Nic Bills and Tim Cruickshank, made a sweeping entrance to the venue as they arrived at the red carpet on the back of some serious looking Harley’s!

The players were joined at the media area by star bowler Doug Bollinger, coach Shane Duff and General Manager John Dyson.

Inside the event the Thunder revealed Warner as the youngest captain in the competition, to go with their focus on a young and exciting team.

Warner wore the Thunder’s new Electric Green uniform for the first time on stage.

Thunder General Manager John Dyson was happy with the way the night had gone: “We have a young and talented team that will keep the whole of Sydney excited and we enjoyed making that point tonight with the arrival on Harley Davidson’s. We  chose the Harley Davidson theme because it typifies what we are about .We will make a lot of noise, we will make people sit up and take notice, we are determined to make a point and we will come with an attitude…. To win”.
