Cricket NSW has today appointed Dominic Remond as General Manager of the Sydney Sixers.

After an extensive search and interview process with applicants across a range of fields and disciplines, Dominic’s appointment is the next step in the development of the Sixers into a sporting powerhouse.

Dominic brings deep expertise in trade and retail marketing and also significant experience in sponsorship sales, content commercialisation, digital marketing and events, honed over stints with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, SmithKline Beecham, SC Johnson & Sons, Schweppes and Bonds.

As well as his corporate experience, Dominic brings entrepreneurial skills and attitude honed in the sales and marketing consultancy he has owned and run for the past 5 years. Dominic is also heavily involved in cricket at grass-roots level in the Eastern Suburbs and is an ideal fit for the Sixers brand.

Cricket NSW CEO Andrew Jones said it was a thorough and rewarding interview process with Dominic an excellent choice.

“There was huge interest in the role, with nearly 70 applicants,” said Jones.

“Dom stood out thanks to his strong marketing skills, his mix of corporate and entrepreneurial experience and his involvement in the game at grass-roots level. He will bring energy and presence to the role and will be an outstanding leader as we continue to drive the growth of the Sixers.”

Dominic was equally as determined to get into the Sixers and get moving towards BBL03.

“I am extremely excited about the chance to work with the Sydney Sixers and to make their home games at the iconic SCG, Sydney’s biggest summer party,” he said.

“There are huge opportunities to engage fans and corporate partners, especially with the new free to air broadcast deal with Channel 10 and to make magenta the new black this season.”

Dominic will start with the Sixers on Wednesday 4 September.
