Switch Hitting to stay a part of Cricket!

The International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket’s governing body has received a report from the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) the keepers of the laws of cricket stating that the switch hit/reverse sweep should be recognised as a legitimate batting stroke! A Recent MCC report included feedback from current and former players as well as international umpires who stated that the shot was exciting and required a lot of skill. As a result of their discussions and research the MCC concluded that the shot should be considered a legitimate part of the game. In a recent meeting of the ICC they accepted the MCC’s report and hence the switch hit, which is undertaken from the reverse sweep position, is now to stay a part of cricket!
