Scott Henry to captain NSW Futures League team

NSW Blues left-handed opening batsman Scott Henry will captain the NSW Futures League team in their four-day match against Victoria at Junction Oval, Melbourne starting next Monday (21 October).

Henry will captain a side particularly strong in top order batting with Ryan Carters, David Dawson, and Daniel Hughes all playing.

The team will also feature two debutants in Dale McKay and Riley Ayre. McKay is a 21 year-old right-handed middle order batsman from the Hawkesbury Grade club. He represented NSW at U17 level last season and averaged just under 40 in Grade cricket. He also has scores of 99 and 72 in matches played this season.

Riley Ayre comes from Denman in the Central North of the state. A tall, left-arm orthodox bowler in the Daniel Vettori mode, he came through the country ranks and also represented NSW U17โ€™s last season. This winter he toured India with the Australian U19 side and has started his Grade career with Sutherland.
