Michael Clarke to captain the NSW Blues subject to fitness

Australian captain Michael Clarke will captain the NSW Blues in their first Bupa Sheffield Shield match of the season against Tasmania at Blacktown International Sportspark starting on Wednesday, subject to a final fitness review that will take place tomorrow (Tuesday 29).

The NSW Blues selectors have named a strong side for the encounter with the main change being the inclusion of wicket-keeper Ryan Carters to make his First Class debut for his adopted State.

Carters, will replace Peter Nevill who strained a hamstring while batting during the Ryobi Cup Final yesterday. Carters has previously played in 11 First Class matches for Victoria.
