Sydney Sixers skipper Moises Henriques will miss tonight’s Sydney Smash 07 after receiving a call up to the Australian One Day side for Friday night’s game against England in Hobart.

Henriques, who has been a standout performer with both bat and ball throughout this summer’s Big Bash tournament, has been added to the Australian set up following a hamstring injury to Shane Watson.

His absence paves the way for 20-year-old fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis to join the Sixers 13-man squad as cover, while Sydney Sixers all-time leading run scorer Nic Maddinson will captain the side seeking to send Brett Lee out a winner in his likely last ever game at the SCG.

Cricket Australia have advised that Moises will be made available to play for the Sydney Sixers in their semi-final matchup against either the Adelaide Strikers or Perth Scorchers, with the opponent to be confirmed pending the outcome of tonight’s match.

With a record crowd expected in attendance at the Sydney Cricket Ground, members and fans are advised to arrive early and leave the car at home. Gates open at 6pm with entertainment for everyone starting at that time in the precinct area.
