Former Prime Minister John Howard to become Patron of Cricket NSW

John Howard OM AC last night became a Patron of Cricket NSW after his nomination was confirmed by Members at the Cricket NSW Annual General Meeting.

Mr Howard will join Alan Davidson AM MBE and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, as Co-Patrons of the organisation.

Howard, who served as Prime Minister between March 1996 and December 2007, has always been a strong supporter of cricket in this country and Cricket NSW Chairman John Warn is delighted that he will bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to the position of Patron:

โ€œI am delighted that John Howard OM AC has agreed to become Patron of Cricket NSW. John has always had a strong interest in the game of cricket and he will provide a wealth of knowledge and experience in his new role. Alongside two sporting greats in Alan Davidson AM MBE and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, Cricket NSW is blessed to have three individuals who care deeply about our great game and its continued growth within the state.โ€
