QLD Bulls player Luke Feldman has secured the final domestic place on the Sydney Sixers roster for BBL|02, announcing his one year deal today.
The 28-year-old fast bowler has been on the radar of the Sixers through his performances in Shield cricket and will bolster an attack that includes Mitch Starc, Brett Lee and Josh Hazlewood.
Feldman joins the magenta men after playing last year for the Hobart Hurricanes.
“It was a surprise to hear from Stuart regarding the Sixers as I thought they would have had their roster completed but I was chuffed at the call,” said Feldman.
“The opportunity to play with some of the big stars such as Brett Lee and David Warner was too good to pass up, as well as playing for the reigning champions. I’m looking forward to it.”
Feldman will join the Sixers during the first week of December when the players come into camp ahead of the season opener against archrivals the Sydney Thunder on 8 December with the SCG likely to put up the full house sign with tickets selling quickly.
A week later on 16 December they will back up against the Perth Scorchers at the SCG with the final two home games falling on Boxing Day against the Hobart Hurricanes and 9 January against the Melbourne Renegades.
Sydney Sixers BBL|02 squad are: Luke Feldman, Brad Haddin, Josh Hazlewood, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Josh Lalor, Brett Lee, Michael Lumb, Nic Maddinson, Ian Moran, Sunil Narine, Stephen O’Keefe, Kurtis Patterson, Steve Smith, Daniel Smith, Mitchell Starc, Dominic Thornely, David Warner.
