Darren Lehmann appointed Australian coach

26/06/13 Category: News Posted by:

Way back in 1990, Darren Lehmann was deemed the Bradman Young Cricketer of the year. Some twenty years later he has been given the top job as Australian coach and we think he is going to be great!

Lehmann vowed his top three priorities in his new job are to โ€œwin, win, winโ€ and will open the door to his old team-mates in the great Australian side of the last decade, many of whom have become distant from the current generation. Lehmann is a link to the past and it is to the likes of Warne, Jason Gillespie and Adam Gilchrist he will now turn to as he looks to change the culture of a young team that has been beset with problems.

Bradman Foundation wish Darren Lehmann and the Australian team the best of luck in the upcoming ashes!
