The KFC T20 Big Bash League has congratulated the Sydney Sixers on their world-beating Karbonn Smart Champions League Twenty20 title.
This 10-wicket win and the team’s undefeated tournament confirm the Sixers as the best T20 club team in the world. The BBL|01 Champions took on and defeated 13 of the world’s champion T20 teams over the past two weeks in a dominant display to claim the US$2.5m first prize.
It’s the second time a team from Australia has won cricket’s richest tournament after the New South Wales Blues took the first CLT20 title in 2009.
The four CLT20 titles have now been shared equally between India and Australia, leaving little doubt that the two country’s domestic T20 tournaments are the strongest in the world.
There are just 39 days until the KFC T20 Big Bash League opens with a BIG MELBOURNE DERBY between the Renegades and Stars at Etihad Stadium. The Sixers will open their title defence against Sydney Thunder in a BIG SYDNEY DERBY at the SCG on Saturday 8 December.
Tickets to this summer’s great value entertainment featuring the superstars of world T20 are on sale now.
Prices for BBL|02 have again been set to ensure the league continues to offer an affordable night out for everyone. A general admission family ticket (2 adults and 2 kids) is priced from just $42.50. Individual general admission tickets are also great value, priced from just $20 for an adult, $5 for a child and $12 for a student. All prices are inclusive of GST.
Team memberships for all teams are also on sale, so fans can secure the best seats in the house and other benefits for the entire season. Fans are encouraged to either buy memberships or pre-purchase individual tickets to assist with quick entry into venues to avoid missing the action.
