Congratulations David Warner

The Bradman Foundation congratulates
DAVID WARNER
for his award as the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year – 2012.

Presented at last nightโ€™s Allan Border Medal Dinner in Melbourne, the pugnacious batsman won the prestigious peer-reviewed award for his form playing for N.S.W. in the Sheffield Shield competition in which he commenced only last season. This was highly unusual as he had already gained selection for Australia in limited-overs cricket three years ago.

The voting period for the award commenced in February 2011 when Warner was 24 years old. At the time he had only played four first-class matches, well within the ten-match threshold.

The Bradman Museum features the destructive batting of David Warner in its limited-overs cricket displays.
