The NSW Blues have defeated Tasmania by 10 wickets early on day four of their Bupa Sheffield Shield match at Bankstown Oval.
Tasmania started the fourth and final day on 6-147, still trailing NSW by 10 runs.
However Doug Bollinger made short work of the remaining Tasmanian batsmen, claiming four wickets to finish with the outstanding figures of 4-23 from 18 overs, including 10 maidens.
Nathan Lyon (3-76), Stephen OโKeefe (1-33) and Gurinder Sandhu (1-31) were the other wicket takers with Beau Webster (83) top scoring for Tasmania as they were bowled out for 183.
Ryan Carters (11no) and Scott Henry (16no) then hit the 27 runs needed for victory in 11 overs.
This win means NSW remains in the hunt for berth in the Sheffield Shield Final and in control of their own destiny.
If Western Australia do not beat Queensland in their match which concludes today, the Blues will find themselves ranked second behind Victoria heading into the last round.
The Blues last round match is against Western Australia in Perth. If they win that game they will be assured of a place in the Final.
