Brad Haddin will captain an International strength NSW side when the Blues play South Australia in a Bupa Sheffield Shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground starting on Tuesday (November 25).
Selectors have also included batsmen David Warner and Steve Smith, all-rounder Shane Watson and fast bowler Mitchell Starc, with Josh Hazlewood unavailable for selection due to Cricket Australia workload management.
Peter Nevill, who led NSW in their opening three matches, has retained his place in the team as a specialist batsman.
Nevill currently sits in 12th position on the list of the competition’s leading run scorers with 244 runs from six innings at an average of 81.33 and a top score of 87.
Missing from the side which lost to Queensland in Brisbane are Ryan Carters (Cricket Australia XI), Nick Larkin, Scott Henry, Kurtis Patterson and Josh Lalor.
