Congratulations to Meg Lanning and her victorious Australian Twenty20 side after a 19 run win over South Africa to claim a sixth T20 World Cup.

Megan Schutt, Ashleigh Gardner, Darcie Brown and Jess Jonassen all took a wicket each for Australia with Meg Lanning leading Australia to victory in 2018, 2020 and now 2023.

The game saw a record crowd gather at Newlands in South Africa to watch Australia claim victory with 12,782 people in attendance.

The current Australian team are one of the sport’s all-time greats. They is also plenty of talk about them being the best women’s teams of all time across any sport.
